Weekly Events and Important Dates

Major Saver Campaign
The 2015 Major Saver Discount Card campaign launches in Lee’s Summit on February 2nd! Last year, participating students helped the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation and participating schools raise more than $102,800.

Elementary school students will be selling $15 cards with 19 Buy-One-Get-One Free offers starting Monday, February 2nd through Tuesday, February 17th.

Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com.  The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school.  All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer.

Thank you for your support of our school!

PTA Valentine Party Information

Adults are invited to join their children to celebrate at the Valentine's party on Friday, Feb 13. Non-school age children are not allowed to attend per district policy.  Parties will be held in the gym. The PTA will provide all drinks and snacks.  Please do not send additional food or candy.  All parents who attend the party in the gym should enter the school through the 6th grade doors on the North end of the building.  The grade level schedule is as follows:

2nd 9:00-9:45am
5th   9:50-10:35am
3rd 10:45-11:30am
K 12:30-1:15pm
4th 1:25-2:10pm
1st 2:15-3:00pm

In addition to the PTA party, grade levels will send home information regarding a Valentine card exchange.  Due to an increasing number of students with life threatening food and nut allergies, including candy with a Valentine card is discouraged.   If you are sending a valentine with candy included, the policy outlined in the Elementary Handbook 2014-2015 must be followed. The policy reads, “Due to an increasing number of students with life threatening food and nut allergies, as well as students with special dietary needs, it is required that any food for distribution and/or instruction be nut free and commercially labeled with ingredients."

Please note the only outside food consumed at school will be the food provided by PTA at the party in the gym.  If you have a child with an allergy and are concerned about candy being included within a valentine, please make arrangements with the classroom teacher to have the Valentines sent home in a zip-lock baggie or picked up by a parent at school.  Thank you for your help in making this a safe and fun day for our students!
